Time tracking and video research: two new founder tools

This week's Show HN feed included a tool for billing client work and one for researching short videos. They serve different needs. The billing terms are worth checking before you try either.

These notes use the makers' public pages, checked on 4 October 2026. We have not tested the products. Inclusion here does not mean the maker has joined TradeMRR or agreed to a trade.

Zebu: billable time and invoices

If you fund your product with client work, Zebu combines time tracking and invoicing. Its site also lists imports from Harvest, Toggl Track, and Clockify.

The paid plan is €60 per seat per year, plus applicable VAT. The €5/month figure is an annual price divided by twelve, not a monthly payment option. A free plan allows one seat, two active projects, and two invoices per month.

Before switching, check whether an exported invoice has the fields your clients need. If you only invoice one or two clients each month, the free plan may cover the work you have now.

Revline: research for short videos

Revline searches public TikTok and Instagram posts to help examine video formats, opening hooks, and possible creator partners. It may be relevant if making product videos is already part of your work.

Its listed plan is $199 per month after a three-day trial. Research has usage limits; new data collection pauses when a limit is reached.

Bring one specific research question to the trial, such as which opening format to test in your next video. Check whether the results change what you plan to make before taking on the monthly cost.
